What to expect

FLEDGLINGS (Ages 3-5) If your child is just beginning their journey of independence, Fledglings offers a nurturing, earth-connected and supportive space where they can take their first steps away from you with confidence. NATURAL JOURNEYS (Ages 5-12) For older adventurers, especially homeschoolers, Natural Journeys provides a rich space to explore, grow, and connect deeply with the rhythms of nature while fostering meaningful connections with like-minded peers. We understand that initial separation can be challenging regardless of age, so offer the flexibility to either stay with your child or drop them off, depending on what feels right for both of you, ensuring a gentle, supportive transition. INTEGRATED PROGRAMS Both programs are designed to flow together seamlessly, creating a community where your child can reconnect with an ancestral way of being. Inspired by the social values of Indigenous communities, we focus on fostering connection, belonging, and a slower, more intentional childhood in a supportive mixed-age group. Our child-led and flexible sessions encourage natural skill development, curiosity, and individual interests. Your child will be gently guided to take considered risks, engage in holistic learning, and grow through play, storytelling, songs, and unhurried exploration. Older participants in Natural Journeys may adventure beyond Base Camp, engaging in activities such as shelter-building, bushcraft, environmental stewardship, fire-making, and seasonal discoveries at a more advanced level. OUR TEAM Our experienced mentors, with backgrounds in Education, Forest School Leadership, Bushcraft, Wilderness Survival, and Deep Nature Connection, are qualified in First Aid and Child Safe practices. They create a nurturing space for your child to thrive, ensuring your child is cared for with warmth, respect, and skill in a fully insured program. Since we run our programs outdoors in all weather, please come prepared with protective clothing, wet weather gear, hats, and sunscreen to ensure your child is comfortable and ready for adventure. INVESTMENT (inc GST)* $88.00 per session A 15% discount is applied for additional siblings * Full term commitment is required.
